Kemphill Farm
I've stayed at Kemphill Farm
a couple of times now. It's in England on the Isle of Wight.

It's a couple of hours by car/train & ferry from London.

It's a big, working farm with cows. But because of Mad Cow, they scaled
back some of the farming and began running a B&B.

They recently converted one of the barns into first-class joint to stay
in.

This is the kitchen inside of that barn. (I'm a friend of the family that
owns/runs the farm.) Ron (left) & Sue (standing) are the gracious
hosts. But don't count on them to provide dinners like this for you.
You can make your own in this new, nice, comfortable kitchen. You probably
won't even see them much -- they live in the farm house.

You'll probably see the dogs more than you'll see Ron & Sue. They're
very nice dogs & good with kids. Kids have even sent the dogs Holiday
cards after their stay at the farm. This dog is Gem.

Ron is damn proud of the farm and the buildings on it. He likes to tell
you the age of each piece of wood. This particular piece of wood may have
sailed around the world a few times in the 1700s, as they used old ship wood in
rebuilding parts of the barn.

Nice hunting dogs on the Isle of Wight.

It can get windy there.

There's good bingo.

But the best views on the Isle are from Kemphill Farm.
